There's nothing like a delectable food & beverage experience at the Royal Melbourne Show!

Tastes of Victoria Stage

The 2011 Royal Melbourne Show saw the all new Tastes of Victoria precinct in the Grand Pavilion feature the best of Victorian chefs and produce. The Tastes of Victoria Stage gave showgoers the opportunity to see their favourite celebrity chefs including MasterChef contestant Danni Venn, Executive Chef from The European and from Conviction Kitchen, Ian Curley and Junior MasterChef contestants Nick, Cassidy, Lucy and Siena. 35 chefs cooked more than 100 different recipes on the Tastes of Victoria Stage, seen by more than 27,700 people.

The Mini Masterclass Stage played host to Victorian producers who have been winners from the Royal Melbourne Fine Food Awards, Royal Melbourne Wine Show and Australian International Beer Awards. Sessions included coffee, cheese, beer, wine, honey, chocolate and ice-cream with over 2,500 fine food tastings, 2,200 award winning beers sampled and 4,400 award winning wines sampled during the course of the Show.

Royal Melbourne Fine Food Deli

The all new Royal Melbourne Fine Food Deli, which was introduced by the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria in 2011, offered a tasty gourmet experience, offering samples of the medal-winning product from the 2010-11 Fine Food Awards. Showgoers were able to sample award-winning roasted espresso coffee, nibble on tasting plates of award winning beef and sample medal-winning wines from the 2010 Royal Melbourne Wine Show.

The Royal Melbourne Fine Food Deli also offered two special showbags including the Victorian Cheese and Dairy showbag featuring award winning cheese and dairy products and the Deli Deluxe showbag that featured a full range of award-winning food from the nation’s best producers. The Royal Melbourne Fine Food Deli showbags were a great success, with over 3,400 Victorian’s taking advantage of the great value bags.

Information on the gourmet feasts available at the 2012 Royal Melbourne Show will be available in July 2012.

Catering at the Royal Melbourne Show is by Invitation only.

If you would like to send your company details in to the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) for possible consideration please include the following information:

  • Company History (what other Major Events you have worked at previously, etc)
  • Photographs of your outlet when its open and operating
  • Menu and Price List
  • Insurance ($20 million Public Liability at minimum)
  • Food Handlers Certificate (Supervisor of outlet)
